Visual Arts
The Visual Arts incorporates a range of courses that offer students the opportunity to discover and explore their own creativity, develop skills and learn about the importance of art and design in their everyday lives. Courses offered include Visual Art, Graphic Design and Digital Photography.

At the core of the Arts is the concept of communicating and developing ideas. An understanding of visual communication and visual literacy can prepare students for further studies in many areas such as;
  • advertising,
  • graphic design,
  • photography,
  • visual art,
  • fashion design,
  • film,
  • computer game design and more.
Also at the core of the Arts is the development of skills, techniques and processes.

Visual Art courses focus on traditional art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture and print media. Students develop their skills through experimentation and selection of materials to create quality works of art.

Graphic Design courses provide students with the opportunity to develop skills in both traditional and digital design methods. Students have access to state-of-the-art digital tools where they develop digital design skills, as well as focusing on aspects such as composition and layout.

Digital Photography courses offer students the opportunity to develop photography skills, as well as photo editing and manipulation skills. Students have access to a well-equipped studio with professional lighting and backdrops, in addition to a selection of basic digital cameras for lower school and Digital SLR cameras for upper school.
