Health And Physical Education
The aim of the Health and Physical Education Learning Area is to help students develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to confidently participate in a healthy, active lifestyle.
Our Health Education program in Years 7 to 10 promotes physical, emotional and social health through a range of contexts. Students will develop their knowledge and self management skills to assist them to make and action healthy lifestyle choices.
Our Physical Education program aims to promote physical activity through a range of team and individual sports. Students will also be able to choose from a variety of sport electives in years 9 and 10, if they wish to participate in additional Physical Education classes.
Warwick SHS provides interested students with the opportunity to specialise in our accredited Australian Rules Football and Netball specialist programs. Students can participate in these programs from Year 7 through to Year 12.
Year 11 and 12
Two pathways are available to senior students
- Physical Education Studies – Stage 2 and Stage 3. This is a university entrance subject
- Certificate II in Sport and Recreation – This subject leads to State Training Provider entrance
